A History of My Practice… On March the 1st, 1989, I launched my practice working from a shared office without a single client. Over the first few years, I built the practice from the ground-up and established a client base. Since that time, the business has grown and I have moved to larger premises every three to five years. The office has remained in the Scarborough/North York Area. Satisfied clients have referred other clients to me and enabled me to establish a solid client base. There is no better way to grow a business than to have existing clients give you a stamp of approval and then share that approval with others. Prior to starting my practice, I did my articling at a medium sized firm and previously worked as a supervisor at Thorne Ernst & Whinney, now known as KPMG. I have always worked in the accounting field and my experience has been in dealing with owner managed businesses, corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorship's. I deal with a variety of business sectors and have a specific focus on Manufacturing, Retail, Wholesalers, Distributors and Medical professionals. I provide consulting services focusing on business strategy, financial management, assistance with applying for and obtaining financing for clients. Having built this business as a true start-up, I understand the principles involved in creating, maintaining and growing a business. I apply these principles to my engagements with my clients
A Personal Profile…
I was born in Mombasa, Kenya and I lived there until it was time to go to high school. I completed my high school in Liverpool, England. I began university studies in Canada and completed my Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business (formerly the Faculty of Administrative Studies at York University). I finished my training as a Chartered Accountant. I also obtained accreditation as a Certified Management Consultant and as a Certified Public Accountant. Community involvement is important to me. I am a member of the Rotary Club and belong to the Richmond Hill Chapter. This Chapter is involved in the community and with other international services. Our Chapter also does a live TV auction show every year in the area and I have been involved in its activities. I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife and three sons. My hobbies include: cars, watching sports, playing golf and soccer, and traveling. I have traveled to various parts of Europe, Asia, and East Africa.
